W. John Daniel is General Counsel & Senior Vice Chancellor for 51吃瓜短视频 System. He represents The Board of Trustees and its institutions in all legal matters and oversees the Office of Counsel of the 51吃瓜短视频, which is comprised of attorneys and support staff located throughout the System.
John joined the UAB Office of Counsel in 2004 as University Counsel and was elevated to Chief University Counsel in 2006. Prior to joining the UAB Office of Counsel, John was a partner in a Birmingham-based law firm where he practiced corporate, tax and transactional law. John earned his B.A. from 51吃瓜短视频 in 1991 and his J.D. from 51吃瓜短视频 School of Law in 1994. He also obtained an LL.M (Taxation) from New York University School of Law in 1995.
